Marquette Venture Partners was founded in 1987 to make equity investments in early and growth stage companies. The firm has a long term investment focus and has emphasized investments in the healthcare, information technology and consumer services industries. Marquette is located in Chicago, Illinois. It has invested in venture capital situations on a national basis in a wide variety of industries.
Marquette is not considering any new investments at this time. Its funds are fully invested. Mr. Ruth, the Managing Partner for Marquette and the only active partner at this time, is working to create value in Marquette's existing investments by working closely with the portfolio companies' management teams. Mr. Ruth is also considering some personal investments and looking for situations where he can add value as a member of the Board of Directors of both private and public companies.
